I am a patient and board member at Mountain Family Health Centers, as well as partnering with them to support families at Crystal River Elementary. I am continually  inspired by their commitment to providing high-quality, integrated, and culturally relevant care for the communities within the Eagle, Roaring Fork, and Colorado River Valleys and their efforts to advance a vision where systemic barriers to care do not exist.

This feels particularly important in a post election landscape, where Medicaid cuts feel imminent and the uninsured population is likely to continue to rise.
