CARE AND EDUCATION CENTER
At Covered Colorado, we believe long-term healing happens through consistent care, meaningful connection, and skill-building. The Care and Education Center is a vital daytime hub for survivors of sex trafficking who are preparing to rebuild their lives and step into lasting independence. Here are the key details:
- Wrap-Around Support: Survivors receive comprehensive, trauma-informed care from a multidisciplinary team that includes licensed counselors, case managers, and program staff. Services include EMDR therapy, individual counseling, and coordinated case management to address emotional, legal, and practical needs.
- Group Programming & Life Skills: The Center hosts psychoeducational classes focused on coping strategies, boundaries, relationships, and emotional regulation. Survivors also participate in community-building activities that strengthen connection and support healthy social development.
- Job Readiness & Empowerment: Survivors can engage in our job readiness program, gaining tools and experience to pursue meaningful employment. From resume-building and interview prep to confidence coaching, each woman is empowered to take the next step toward self-sufficiency.
- Safe & Supportive Environment: Located in a secure and welcoming space, the Center fosters growth and healing in a consistent, structured setting. Here, women can practice new skills, build trust, and envision a future of freedom and stability.
Annual Cost: Operating the Care and Education Center costs $350,000 annually. This includes staff, counseling services, group materials, supplies, and facility upkeep. Your partnership helps sustain this essential program, providing survivors with the tools and support they need to thrive. Thank you for standing with them on their journey to healing.
