John's Fundraiser: Hope House Northern Colorado

John Emery, husband of Executive Director, Colleen Emery, has served on the board of directors since its inception in 2020.  He has used his professional skills in strategic planning to guide the growth of Hope House over the last four years. He desires to serve and improve the communities in which he lives. By serving on the board, Hope House Northern Colorado has given him the opportunity to empower teen moms in our community.

"Teenagers who have an unexpected pregnancy face difficult choices and it is incredibly brave for a young mom to choose to keep her baby. Many teen moms have faced traumatic childhoods and are not well prepared as a teen to navigate social systems. The barriers to achieve self-sufficiency are immense. I love Hope House's approach to come along side and partner with teen moms to chart the course to self-sufficiency that many thought was impossible. It is a blessing and inspiration for me to serve on the Hope House Board where we see miracle happen and heroes emerge that that impact multiple generations."
