We are excited to be chosen as a regional host for 2026 for the National Civics Bee in Adams and Jefferson Counties. We're investing in the next generation of civic leaders—building a pipeline of engaged citizens who understand how policy, advocacy, and civic participation shape thriving communities and strong economies.

Your donations will help us scale this event and increase our student and teacher outreach, directly supporting B.O.L.D. 2026's goal of creating informed, active citizens who will champion business-friendly policies and community solutions for years to come.

Who We Are

The Greater Arvada Chamber of Commerce is a community of businesses, organizations, and local leaders working together to solve challenges, foster meaningful connections, and develop the next generation of talent and leadership. Our work – driving action on conversations, resources, and large-scale initiatives that businesses can’t tackle on their own – is central to the long-term success of our community as a whole. When you play a part, we all thrive.

The Greater Arvada Chamber of Commerce hosts the 3rd annual National Civics Bee on April 24th at Revive Church, and has long been a cornerstone for building a stronger, more vibrant community across Adams and Jefferson Counties.

What We Do

Through the National Civics Bee, we bring our mission of civic engagement to life in a meaningful way. This interactive experience introduces young people to the power of citizenship and community service. Yes, we champion local businesses, but our heart lies in weaving together a community where every person matters, with special attention to nurturing our rising generation.

What is the National Civics Bee?

Middle school students in the National Civics Bee tackle real community challenges head-on. They research a local issue, craft an essay outlining their concerns, and develop actionable solutions. Twenty finalists advance to our live event for question rounds and substantive discussions with community judges. This isn't simply a contest—it's a platform amplifying youth voices and showcasing their capacity to transform Arvada, Adams and Jefferson Counties, and beyond.

Opportunities it Unlocks for Kids

The competition empowers young people to think critically, express their ideas, and experience genuine community support. Through the Civics Bee, students build confidence, sharpen problem-solving abilities, form connections, and recognize themselves as valued community members. These foundational skills shape them into leaders and engaged citizens, creating lasting impact for everyone.

How it Improves Life in Adams and Jefferson Counties

We're facing a troubling reality: civic engagement has steadily declined for decades, just when we need thoughtful conversation most. The Civics Bee is our answer—a way to nurture a community that truly values open, respectful dialogue. When we invest in teaching young people about civic life, we're planting seeds across Adams and Jefferson Counties. The result? A thriving culture where everyone, whether they're in middle school or enjoying retirement, feels capable and welcome to contribute to our community's well-being.

Why Support the Greater Arvada National Civics Bee

When you support the Civics Bee, you're directly elevating youth voices across our region. We welcome middle schoolers from throughout Adams and Jefferson Counties to participate in an empowering experience where they shine and are celebrated. Your contribution sends a powerful message to students: your ideas count, your voice matters, and this community is invested in your civic journey.
