Dave Peterson's Leadville 100 Fundraiser

The "Race Across The Sky" aka the Leadville Trail 100 Mountain Bike Race is considered the highest and hardest one-day mountain bike race in the United States. 

This year I'm excited to be racing in Leadville as a charity athlete in support of the Leadville Trail 100 Legacy Foundation.

The Legacy Foundation awards a $2,000 scholarship to every Lake County High School graduate who wants to further their education.  These scholarships are not provided based on a student’s grades or financial need – they are all about providing these Leadville graduates with an opportunity to go out and do something impressive with their life.  Since the program began in 2009, the Legacy Foundation has awarded over $1 million in Legacy Scholarships.  

As a charity athlete my fundraising goal will directly contribute toward these high school scholarships and give a local Leadville student a boost to the future.
