From Vision to Village Campaign

A New Kind of Neighborhood

What if our neighborhoods were designed not just for housing, but for belonging?

Across the country, people are facing a growing loneliness epidemic, rising housing costs, and the environmental impact of how our communities are built. Many people long for stronger connections with their neighbors and a more sustainable way of living.

Gratitude Village Colorado was created in response to these challenges.

We are working to create a new model for community living — one designed to foster connection, sustainability, accessibility and belonging.

This will be a place where families, older adults and individuals of all abilities can thrive in a neighborhood intentionally designed for connection.

What Is Cohousing?

Cohousing communities are neighborhoods designed to foster connection and collaboration while preserving private space.

Residents own their private homes but share community spaces such as gardens, gathering areas and a common house where neighbors can come together for meals, events and mutual support.

These communities are intentionally designed to encourage interaction, reduce isolation and promote a more sustainable way of living.

Why Gratitude Village?

Gratitude Village will demonstrate a new model for community living by bringing together several important goals:

Connection: A neighborhood designed to strengthen relationships and reduce social isolation
Affordability: A true mixed-income model with up to 50% of homes permanently affordable
Sustainability: Net Zero homes and environmentally responsible design
Accessibility: A community designed from the ground up to be fully accessible and inclusive
Multi-generational Living: A place where people of all ages can support one another
Diversity: A welcoming neighborhood that celebrates people of different backgrounds, cultures, incomes, and life experiences

Together, these principles create a community where people not only live side by side — they truly belong.

Momentum Is Growing

Gratitude Village Colorado is already gaining momentum.

A growing community of future residents, advisors and supporters are already helping bring Gratitude Village to life.

We have:

• Incorporated as a nonprofit organization
• Assembled a multidisciplinary board of directors with expertise in development, finance, architecture, law, and disability advocacy
• Engaged experienced cohousing development advisors
• Begun building a community of future residents helping shape the vision

Together, we are working to bring the first Gratitude Village to life in the Denver region.

Creating a Model for the Future

Gratitude Village is intended to serve as a demonstration community — showing that neighborhoods designed for connection, sustainability, accessibility and affordability can succeed.

By documenting and sharing what we learn, we hope to inspire and support the creation of similar communities in other parts of the city and around the country.

What Your Gift Makes Possible

We are launching the From Vision to Village campaign to support the early work needed to bring this community from concept to reality.

Your donation will help support:

• $25 helps expand outreach and grow the Gratitude Village community
• $50 supports community events and design conversations
• $100 helps advance planning and site evaluation work
• $250+ helps move the project closer to land acquisition and development

These early steps are essential for moving the project forward toward land acquisition and design.

Be Part of the Beginning

Every community starts with people who believe something better is possible.

Your support helps lay the foundation for a neighborhood designed for connection, sustainability, accessibility, and shared purpose.

Together we can help bring Gratitude Village from vision to village.

Thank you for being part of the journey.

Gifts of any size help move the project forward. Many supporters are contributing between $25 and $250 to help build momentum for this new community.
