Solid Ground Apartments Fresh Start Baskets

The lack of safe and affordable housing stands as one of the most challenging barriers in Colorado. For people who are living with mental health and substance use disorders, these barriers are amplified.

Solid Ground Apartments is a transformative 40-unit apartment complex designed to address the critical need for affordable housing and offers comprehensive wrap-around mental health and social services for some of the most vulnerable members of our community - people experiencing homelessness and living with a mental health or substance use disorder. 

Permanent supportive housing provides the housing stability and basic necessities that an individual needs to start rebuilding their life. After finding a safe place to call home, people can focus on getting mental health and substance use support, reconnecting with work, school, family, and all the things that truly matter, one solid step at a time.

In conjunction with the opening of Solid Ground Apartments, we are working to provide Fresh Start Baskets to our clients who will live there. Since many of them are making the transition from being unhoused, they often don’t have the ability to purchase the basic necessities of setting up a household. Fresh Start Baskets will help fill this need by providing items such as bed and bath linens, cleaning supplies, toiletries, paper goods, kitchenware and pantry supplies and small appliances (microwaves, vacuum cleaners, etc.)

You may give any amount you choose. No matter the size of your donation, your gift will be added to this fund to help our residents get settled in their new homes. With their basic needs met, they may begin the journey of recovery from mental health and substance use issues.
