Sofie Pelletier's Better Lives Through Dance 2022

My name is Sofia (Sofie) Pelletier. I returned to dancing right around the pandemic. So I was only in person for a very short time before all my classes had to move to zoom. Ballet gave me something to look forward to everyday and even connecting with other kids and teachers on zoom felt like a connection. CCD means everything to me thanks to all the dancers who are now my friends and teachers and staff who are just amazing people. Two in particular - Julia Manley and Julia Meng have inspired me to work hard and to be kind and positive at all times even when I am having a tough day. I struggle with extreme anxiety and the last three years have been particularly hard with middle school and remote learning and losing my Yah Yah especially. Losing Julia Meng this year has been hard on our studio and I want to dedicate this years fundraiser to her. She loved CCD and wanted us all to be the best we could be.
