Every Story Matters: Keeping Siblings Connected

Happy National Siblings Day!  To celebrate the siblings in our lives and the importance of the sibling bond, consider making a donation to Elevating Connections in their honor.  Elevating Connections is an organization that serves siblings separated in foster care in Colorado.  

Think about your siblings: think about the moments only you and they share—inside jokes, whispered secrets at night, that one song you always sang together, the way they were just there when you needed them most.

For many kids in foster care, separation from their siblings is a painful reality. Elevating Connections works to bring those siblings back together—creating moments, memories, and connections that last a lifetime.

For the past 10 years, Elevating Connections has been the only program in Colorado dedicated to strengthening the sibling bond. Through our Sibling Connections Program, we create opportunities for brothers and sisters in foster care to spend real, meaningful time together.

We offer monthly sibling connecting events in Denver and Colorado Springs, where siblings do arts and recreational activities, learning about one another, playing, laughing, and making lasting memories together.  

We see firsthand the joy, healing, and deep bonds that form when siblings are given the chance to be together. The impact lasts far beyond their time with us—it stays with them for life.
