Help Me Support Crisis Center Clients

I'm a full-time staff therapist at the Crisis Center as of early this year. I have been honored to work with our clients this past year and support them as they are processing through either past or current Domestic Violence (DV) and its lasting impacts. I utilize a Trauma Informed approach with all clients and utilize several modalities such as, Person-Centered therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy - a somatic based approach, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Everyday I get to see clients find safety, increase their self-esteem, and learn about healthy relationships while receiving therapy, advocacy, legal advocacy, and community-based advocacy. All these services, plus our 24/7 crisis line and emergency shelter, are free and confidential for survivors of DV due to the support of donors and grants. 

Your support and generosity brings immediate hope to someone in need:

• $45 operates the 24-hour crisis line for one day
• $75 pays for a therapy session for one client
• $125 provides a month of legal advocacy for one client

• $145 provides a night of safe shelter for one client 

• $200 provides a month of community-based advocacy for a client

Additionally and excitingly, the Crisis Center looks to the future and the next iteration of our work: our new brand and identity as the Ember Center, a symbol of resilience, light, and the enduring strength of every survivor we serve. This new chapter is more than a fresh look, it represents our evolving mission and commitment to serving survivors of DV and now also sexual assault survivors.
