Imagine facing the unthinkable: a loved one is caught in the web of the criminal legal system. The emotional toll is immense, but the practical challenges can feel insurmountable. Families find themselves grappling with financial hardships, loss of wages, unstable or even no housing, and limited access to mental health services. The repercussions are widespread, and the trauma can linger long after the legal battles end.

At The Denver Justice Project, we know these struggles all too well. We are dedicated to supporting families navigating the complexities of incarceration, or the loss of a loved one and we understand that the crisis doesn’t just affect the individual—it ripples through entire families and communities. When our community members reach out for help, they’re not just looking for a lifeline; they’re seeking dignity, stability, and a chance to rebuild.

Our advocacy efforts provide critical resources, but the need often exceeds what we can offer. Many times, we find ourselves dipping into our own pockets or organizing mutual aid campaigns just to provide immediate assistance. This isn’t sustainable, and it certainly isn’t fair to the families who are already facing so much.

That’s why we’re launching this fundraising campaign—to create a dedicated fund to support families experiencing the impact of the criminal legal system. Your contribution will directly provide much-needed financial relief to those facing hardship. This fund will serve as a crucial resource for families struggling with:

  • Loss of Wages: Helping families make ends meet while they support their loved ones.
  • Housing Instability: Providing assistance to ensure that families don’t lose their homes during difficult times.
  • Mental Health Services: Funding access to mental health resources that are critical for coping with stress and trauma.
  • Victim Assistance: Bridging the gap for those who may not have access to support services during this challenging time.

Every dollar you donate goes a long way in alleviating the burdens these families face. It allows us to offer direct assistance when it matters most, restoring hope and stability to those who need it.

We believe that everyone deserves support during their toughest moments. With your help, we can continue to advocate for justice, empower families, and build a community that stands together in solidarity.
