DJP organizes rallies, press conferences, petition efforts, and social media campaigns to demand accountability from law enforcement and elected officials. We harness the collective power of community members, professionals, and activists to confront the systemic barriers that lead to the unequal distribution of resources and the disproportionate application of the law, resulting in over-policing and mass incarceration of communities of color.

📲 $25 supports a targeted social media campaign to rally community support around critical issues like overcharging, police misconduct, and racial justice, amplifying voices and calls for accountability.

📞 $50 funds a call-in campaign, providing scripts and guidance for community members to reach out to elected officials, ensuring their voices are heard on urgent issues.

📄 $100 covers printing petition materials and letters, equipping community members with tools to participate in impactful campaigns that directly engage policymakers.

📢 $250 enables DJP to organize a rally or press conference, including permits, supplies, and tech equipment, so community members can gather and raise awareness on issues impacting the lives of individuals caught up in the criminal legal system.

🏛️ $500 funds DJP’s leadership and participation in critical community committees, such as the STAR Community Advisory Committee and the Grassroots Leadership Council, where we advocate for systemic changes, including expanding community oversight of police practices, establishing transparency and accountability from elected and appointed officials, supporting alternatives to incarceration, and promoting policies that reduce racial disparities within the legal system.
