Mission: Daisy Chain provides a loving sanctuary that empowers people to grow in compassion and confidence through connection with horses, the earth and each other.

Daisy Chain Sanctuary believes we are all perfectly imperfect links in the daisy chain of life, we adopt handicapped and retired horses and give them a new job helping people heal, love and grow in an open, creative and regenerative environment.

It starts with the horses and was inspired by Daisy, our namesake. Daisy was born in my arms with a heart on her face and love in her eyes, little did I know she would take me on this journey. At 5 months old it was determined that Daisy had a genetic disorder called cerebellar abiotrophy that would deem her "useless" in the horse community. She is far from useless and has inspired Daisy Chain.

We are a sanctuary for horses, people and our planet. We aim to build a sanctuary that will not only positively influence the lives of horses that are deemed useless by no fault of their own, but the lives of children and adults who in turn can make positive changes in their influence on our planet.

We adopt retired and handicapped horses and give them a new job helping people to heal love and grow. Currently we have 4 horses and offer programs for skills and personal development. We partner with a few foster care groups to offer sponsorships to children in foster care and reduced rates to low income or homeless families.

We offered a day camp in 2019 where half the day the kids learned about and worked with the horses and the other half, they learned how to be better stewards for our planet. For example, on one day, we had an expert from NREL come out and teach the kids about greenhouse gases and their own carbon footprint. They built a solar oven and made s'mores. 2020 was a bust, but we have started fund raising and finally were able to start our collaboration with Fostering Great Ideas and their program Siblink - where they bring separated siblings together once a month to do something fun and to see each other. We had our first group of 3 kids come out for the middle sisters birthday, it was great fun for all! We also have a partnership with Horizons at Colorado Academy where we offer a field trip/day camp for their middle schoolers. Horizons is a camp for low income families.
