Construction is Underway!
On Wednesday March 12, Bluff Lake Nature Center hosted the ceremonial groundbreaking for our $8.5M Campus Improvements Project! Wednesday program participants (including Forest School and Outdoor Explorers Homeschool Program) were given the honor of digging the first shovels of dirt, signifying the start of this incredible project.
There have also already been two news stories (Denverite and Front Porch).
Construction is now well underway, so stay tuned for for more updates, and check out our Construction Site Access page for information on how to access the site during construction.
The Central Park Business Association supports our greater Central Park neighbors, residents, business owners, supporters, service providers, schools, non-profit organizations and cultural institutions through volunteering and our CPBA Gives Program.
This year, we've decided to mostly invest in one particular partner, as a critical time in their history.
Bluff Lake Nature Center has embarked on a Capital Campaign to support its Campus Improvements Project, which will support the immense growth that the organization has seen, partly resulting from the establishment of the Central Park neighborhood.
CPBA has committed $3,500 to this project, and we hope that our members will join us by making a gift via this page (or by the other means listed below - they will still get added to this page) to reach an overall goal of $10,000. This level will also open up recognition possibilities, giving the Central Park Business Association name a wonderful opportunity to publicly show our investment in our community.
About the Project:
Currently the site has no utility hookups, very little infrastructure, accessibility concerns, and the team works out of an office several miles away. This project would provide a net zero building to house a welcome center, classrooms, offices, and a community space; power and running water; and additional site improvements, including an accessible ramp leading down into the site.
Did you know that Bluff Lake donors in Colorado can take advantage of the 50% Childcare Tax Credit of up to $100,000 per year, in addition to other state and federal charitable contribution credits? Visit the campaign page for more information, including other ways to give and tax credit information.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are making a gift of over $1,000, Bluff Lake asks that you consider sending a check to avoid the cost of high fees that would either be covered by the donor or Bluff Lake Nature Center. Checks can be mailed to:
Bluff Lake Nature Center
4760 Oakland St., Suite 200
Denver, CO 80239
Please add "CPBA" and "Capital Campaign" in the memo line.
