Support a unique Jewish voice in the Colorado climate movement

We all have a responsibility to build a just and livable world for future generations. There is no place where we can make a bigger impact than right here in Colorado: in our homes, in our communities, at our shuls, and at the State Capitol.

CJCA brings a unique voice to the Colorado Jewish community and to the Colorado climate movement. 

Here is a taste of our educational and ritual offerings from the past year:

Torah & Ecology: Over 40 community members participated in each session of a 3-part discussion led by Dr. Allen Katz exploring the intersection of Jewish text and environmental responsibility.

High Holiday Bookmarks: We distributed 4,000 bookmarks to 32 organizations containing a QR code linking to a newly developed webpage with resources for taking action on climate.

Haggadahs: CJCA hosted a Tu Bishvat seder focused on natural elements and on Colorado-based climate solutions. We wrote an original Haggadah for the occasion. 

On Passover, we created and distributed an original Haggadah supplement with a particular focus on climate harms and solutions in Colorado. 

Songs for a Sacred Earth: CJCA brought together musicians, story-tellers, mystics, and practitioners for an evening of community and spirit. Check out the CJCA YouTube page to watch a recording of this magical gathering.
