CHARGE Positive Youth Development

As more conversations begin to occur, it is evident that a growing number of community members and decision makers are beginning to see the advantages of a comprehensive approach to youth sexual health and the benefits that a sexual health curriculum will have in regards to self- advocacy. Although, abstinence programs are still preferred in the region, parents as well as community members realize that area youth should be entitled to more information about their bodies so they can make more informed choices. It is hoped that through partnerships with the local schools, continued engagement of youth, their parents, and community members will result in more successes in that area in the very near future.
