GWHS Food Pantry

Our food pantry team would like to thank all of our donors for their generous support! 

We are in the midst of working to capture a $10,000 match from an anonymous benefactor. We are so appreciative of this opportunity particularly during this time of heightened need with many in our community facing the loss of SNAP benefits. 

Every penny counts! Please know that any donation of any amount will be maximized by our careful application of resources via Food Bank of the Rockies where we source the majority of our food.

GWHS Food Pantry provides access to food, hygiene, and other necessities to students and staff at George Washington High School. We are currently serving approximately 100 families per week and have served over 175 unique visitors to date in the 2025-26 school year, each of whom represents an average family size of 6 people. The Pantry is open every Wednesday during the school year (excluding holiday break times). Additionally, during Thanksgiving, Winter, Spring & Summer breaks we offer special items for distribution appropriate to the holiday or season. Our mission is to support our Patriot families with food scarcity needs. We believe it is challenging to learn when hungry or stressed about your family going hungry. We endeavor to meet the need for all students & staff. Our dedicated staff of student, parent and community volunteers pickup food from Food Bank of the Rockies, shop locally for items like milk and eggs and maintain the pantry by stocking shelves, cleaning and delivering any unused items to We Don't Waste. With these efforts, we strive to build a more vibrant and interactive community. We thank you joining in our effort to provide nutritious food to families in our community.
