DECA - George Washington High School

George Washington High School is currently in the process of building one of the best DECA programs in the state.  We are only 5 years old and have already experienced a lot of success. In our short time we have had 10 national qualifiers over 75 State qualifiers and our goal is to grow our success even more!  We have over 80 kids participating in DECA this year, which is our highest membership count to date!

DECA’s mission is to prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe. 

Our Programs’ specific mission is: Having a club that represents the diverse GW community that is committed to developing emerging leaders who are passionate about growing business knowledge, emphasizing community outreach, connection &  service.  

DECA is a pay to play organization and your help is needed to make sure ALL students are able to participate and meet our mission.  We often go up against tuition funded schools with large budgets.  In order to keep up with our competition our goal is to raise At least $5,000 this year

Your donations will help in the following ways:

• $50: pays for the district event of one DECA student

• $250: pays for 5 students district competition or 1 students trip to the state competition 

• $500 pays for 10 students to compete at districts or 2 student trips to the state competition 

• $1,000 pays for 20 kids district competition or 4 students trips to the state competition.

Any donation is greatly appreciated and will help our DECA program be successful not only this year but in the years to come.
