Bridge the Gap for residents of Castle Peak

$3,175

raised by 10 people

$25,000 goal

Thanks to scientific advances, we, our parents, and our kids will continue to live longer and longer. But with the blessing of a long life comes a challenge: many of us are going to outlive our resources.

Currently, Castle Peak Senior Health and Rehabilitation serves many long-term residents who, through no fault of their own, have outlived their savings. Many senior communities in our region won’t accept these residents and turn them away because they rely on Medicaid to pay for their care. Unfortunately, the government doesn’t pay enough to cover the true cost of care in our area.

In the metro, the cost of living is more affordable and the larger population provides enough healthcare workers. For eldercare communities in the metro, their costs align with the Medicaid funding they receive.

As you well know, our beloved Valley stands in sharp contrast to this. The cost of living here is sky-high, and our small community lacks healthcare workers, resulting in skyrocketing labor costs.

Since the very beginning, the heart and vision for Castle Peak was that it would serve all older adults in our community, regardless of their financial situation. We’re committed to providing care for all older adults who need it. But we can’t do it alone. To continue sustaining fullness of life for older adults in the Valley, so they are able to stay in the community they helped build, we need your help.

Your donations will "bridge the gap" for these long-term care residents, ensuring that they have access to the individualized care they need. Your support can provide peace of mind for these residents facing financial difficulty and will allow our seniors to stay in the valley that they have always lived in and love.
