Lindsay's 2023 Staff Challenge - CO Gives Day

Western Resource Advocates is an environmental organization with over 30 years of experience fighting climate change to sustain the environment, economy, and people of the West. We take big, bold ideas - like a Colorado river that runs to the sea, an economy that runs on carbon-free energy, and permanently protecting and connecting 50% of all land by mid-century - and we ask the hard question of how? I joined the WRA team in 2021 as a Policy Advisor on our Healthy Rivers team (the photo on the right is from our team retreat in Tucson). It's a critical time to be working on Western water issues. The Colorado River system is in crisis from climate change, aridification, and population growth. WRA is responding by developing and advocating for new water policies with key decision-makers to improve stream health, reduce water use, and safeguard the future of western communities. This Colorado Gives Day, WRA's Colorado staff are competing in a staff challenge to raise money for our work and to see who can inspire the largest number of donors to give through December 5th. Thanks to your generous donations, last year I won the staff challenge and the prize was a charcuterie board which I shared with donors at a Denver-based WRA donor “gala”, see photo! This year I'm trying to defend my title and inspire 50 people to donate! Colorado Gives has an incentive fund that makes your money go farther - give now through December 5 to participate in this challenge.
