 I am asking for your donation today because I believe in Young Tracks mission and recognize the importance of Early Childhood Education and Care for the families who live and work in Routt County. 

Here's how Young Tracks is unique in the community: 

1. Over half of the teachers are bilingual English/Spanish speakers and able to welcome and support English Language Learner children and families in their first language. And because of this all classrooms are learning both English and Spanish, an important life skill in today's world.
2. Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack are served daily. Food is scratch-made on-site and menus follow the USDA's Adult and Child Food Program guidelines. With the high percentage (25%) of children receiving tuition from the Colorado Childcare Assistance Program, placing them at or below 265% of Federal Poverty Level, this program is essential to help support children's basic needs.  Mr. Will's macaroni and cheese is ledgedary among children and youth, he has been serving it for over fifteen years! This program, however, is expensive and support is needed.
3. Infant and toddler care is scarce in Routt County. Young Tracks has sixteen slots for children under one year and twenty-two slots for children one to two years. Because the required ratio of teacher to child is much lower than preschool age children, as well as the required teacher qualifications needed, providing this care is taxing on the budget. It takes a group of special teachers to care for sixteen children under the age of one! (Can you imagine?!!)
4.  A continuum of care, from eight weeks through pre-kindergarten, provides convenience for  parents allowing families with multiple children under five a one-stop drop-off and pick-up option. And once one child is in, the sibling has priority enrollment, a definite plus for families.
