Public schools are the basic unit of democracy – and they are threatened more today than ever by national politics, chronic underfunding, right-wing attacks on inclusive practices and curriculum, and efforts to privatize. Thousands of folks around the state are fighting to protect, promote, and lift up public education – too often in silos.
Great Ed is spearheading two efforts: the "Get It Done" campaign to ensure that the legislature takes action to create a Colorado Blueprint for Student Success to provide students with the opportunities and support they need to thrive; and the Every Student Welcome Network that is bringing organizations out of silos so we can all fight for public education collaboratively and effectively.
