Let's bring Epic Experience to all cancer thrivers

As the season of giving begins, I would like to share my story and my why of being on the Board of Directors at Epic Experience. A little over 16 years ago was when my life was flipped upside down with a brain tumor and then a few short months later I was diagnosed with testicular cancer at the age of 23. I was just beginning my life after college and my life was immediately put on pause. While most people at that age are preparing for their next stage in life of careers, relationships/marriage, or children, I was stuck in a bed for almost a year recovering from surgeries, it was a dark time filled with depression and constant anxiety.  

As some of you may know, I am the reason why Epic Experience was created. There are millions of people throughout the country that have been impacted by cancer, directly or indirectly. Epic Experience's goal is to create opportunity for survivors and thrivers to have a community where they are understood and heard. 

I joined the Board of Directors of Epic Experience to continue building on my own cancer journey and the mission of Epic Experience, to provide hope beyond Cancer. Cancer truly never goes away, the PTSD that comes from cancer is the daily reminder to be grateful for each day and "Live like you were dying" as my buddy Tim Mcgraw always says. 

As you consider your end of the year giving, I ask that you give to Epic Experience so Epic can continue providing cancer resources to thrivers from across the country just like myself.
