I’m Michelle, a therapist and Clinical Director at Ember Center. This is Cub, our therapy dog for clients. For the past 13 years, I have had the privilege of providing advocacy and therapy services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Through this work, I have witnessed the incredible resilience, strength, and hope of survivors, reinforcing my belief that no one should have to navigate the journey toward safety and healing alone.

At Ember Center, I am passionate about ensuring that access to critical support services is not limited by financial barriers or other obstacles. I believe survivors deserve the opportunity to make informed decisions about their future, whether they choose to stay in or leave an abusive relationship.

I also have the honor of supervising our master's-level clinicians, who provide trauma-informed therapy and support. Together, we help clients understand the impact violence has had on their lives, build on their strengths, and move toward healing and recovery.

This Colorado Gives Day, I’m asking you to join me in supporting Ember Center's critical mission. It costs approximately $300 per person reached through our 24-hour crisis line, direct services, and community outreach and education. Every donation helps connect someone with critical resources, promote safety, and empower survivors to build a future free from violence. Together, we can make a difference today and help create a healthier, safer community for the next generation.
