"I Got Your Six" (emergency food fund)

Servicios de La Raza is not waiting for a broken and blame-throwing system to reach consensus when families need food NOW!

That is why we are launching the "I got your six" or "I got your back" fundraising campaign to raise funds for emergency food. We can feed a neighbor losing their SNAP benefits for $6/day. Please consider chipping in $6 to help feed one of our clients for a day. 

Servicios is one of the only food pantries in Colorado that specializes in distributing healthy food items that center on culture. We have seen lines down the block day-after-day. Last week, we had to turn away community members during a mobile food outreach event because we ran out of food to give. There was just too much need and not enough food. 

We have more food and financial resources than any country in the world. We waste more food than any other country in the world. And we have more resources here in Colorado than most states in our country.

Saving money eating at home versus at a restaurant tonight = about twelve meals for one neighbor ($24)
