Who We Are:

WILD is an international conservation organization based in Colorado with a simple but powerful belief: when communities are trusted and supported to protect the places they love, the entire planet becomes stronger. Founded on the idea that nature thrives when people work in partnership with it, WILD brings together Indigenous leaders, scientists, local communities, and global advocates to safeguard Earth’s last wild places.

What We Stand For:

We stand for a future where nature has the space it needs to thrive. We champion the protection of at least Half of the planet because science and traditional knowledge agree this is what life depends on. We believe that conservation must be community led, equity centered, and grounded in both ecological evidence and cultural wisdom. We support those who defend their forest, river, or grassland not just for themselves, but for all of us.

Why Our Work Matters:

The world is losing natural areas at a pace that threatens climate stability, clean water, biodiversity, and the cultural lifeways of Indigenous peoples. When intact ecosystems disappear, so do the protections they offer every living thing.WILD works at the intersection of global policy and grassroots action. We help communities stop deforestation in Sápmi, strengthen Indigenous guardianship in the Amazon, restore watersheds in Mali, and elevate the Nature Needs Half framework in international conservation. These efforts create healthier ecosystems, stronger local economies, and a more resilient planet for future generations.Your support helps turn community leadership into lasting protection. It ensures that the people standing on the frontlines of conservation have the resources, visibility, and global backing they need to keep Earth wild.
