Our mission: Elevating Connections is dedicated to building sustained positive relationships for current and former youth in foster care-including those experiencing sibling separation-to use their voice and build meaningful community connections.

Our programming: Elevating Connections creates events and arts workshops for children and youth to connect with themselves, one another, and to feel a sense of belonging and community.  We also run a week-long summer camp for siblings separated in their foster care placements.

Who EC serves: Siblings, children, youth, and young adults across Colorado that have experienced or been impacted by foster care.

Why I support Elevating Connections: I have volunteered with Elevating Connections for six years and have continued working for them and supporting them because of witnessing the healing power of connection - at Camp Connect, the sibling connecting events, and the community dinners.  My siblings mean everything to me, and their support and presence in my life enriches me endlessly.  EC creates opportunities for siblings to bond, create memories, and connect with others with similar life experiences.  This work is important with lifelong benefits.

How you can help: Help support our Colorado Gives fundraiser with a one-time or monthly recurring donation.  Our total goal this year is $25,000.  All new monthly recurring donation sign ups will have a one-time dollar-for-dollar match (up to $100) by the Colorado Gives Foundation.  This is our most vital fundraiser of the year, ensuring that our programming can continue and that we can expand even more of our youth voice programming in 2024.  Donate anytime between November 1st-December 5th.
