Founded in 2014, Sun Valley Kitchen + Community Center (SVK+CC) addresses pressing needs in Denver's Sun Valley community. Amidst the ongoing redevelopment of the neighborhood, the community is grappling with substantial hurdles. More than 94% of residents depend on subsidized housing, the median family income stands at $21,295, and unemployment affects 35% of the population.

Acknowledging the potential of this redevelopment to impact the Sun Valley neighborhood, SVK+CC stands in their role as a community builder. SVK+CC focuses on food accessibility, workforce development, and youth development, aiming to create jobs, improve health, and strengthen community bonds.

Sun Valley Kitchen + Community Center is dedicated to fostering a thriving community by offering a secure and nurturing environment, as well as essential nourishment.
