Wear the Love: 55 Years of Meals on Wheels

Fifty-five years ago, neighbors in Greeley and Weld County saw a simple need with a profound impact: older adults in our community were going without the hot, nutritious meals and daily human connection they needed to stay healthy, safe, and independent at home. They responded the way neighbors do - by showing up. Volunteers cooked, packed, and delivered meals, one doorstep at a time.

From those humble beginnings, Meals on Wheels of Greeley and Weld County has grown into a vital lifeline for hundreds of homebound neighbors every year. Today, our volunteers still knock on doors, hand over a hot meal, and offer a friendly smile or quick conversation. But they also do something more: they provide a critical safety check and a powerful reminder that no one in our community should be forgotten or left behind.

55 Years of Nourishing Body and Spirit

For more than five decades, our mission has remained the same:

To make a difference in the lives of those unable to prepare or cook for themselves by providing nutritious, hot meals delivered by caring volunteers.

Every meal represents so much more than food. It can be:
