Why Your Gift Matters Now

For too many older adults in our community, the holidays aren't joyful — they're silent.

Silent nights. Silent days. Silent months spent alone and hungry.

At Meals on Wheels of Greeley and Weld County, we serve more than a meal. We deliver dignity, compassion, and connection. We are a lifeline for more than 500 aging adults and people with disabilities in our region, providing access to hot, nutritious meals and compassionate human connection delivered right to their doorsteps.

In 2024 alone, we delivered nearly 57,000 meals to our neighbors across Greeley, Evans, Windsor, Eaton, Fort Lupton, Firestone, and more. But the need is growing faster than ever.

Here's why:

  • Older adults are the fastest-growing population in Weld County.
  • Government funding has not kept pace with rising demand and costs.
  • Cuts to SNAP and Medicaid are threatening food security for aging adults.
  • Just 1% of philanthropic dollars in the U.S. go toward issues affecting older adults.

This winter, too many of our neighbors are at risk of hunger, isolation, and declining health---simply because they're aging in place without the resources they need.

You can change that.

The Power of Your Gift

You can make sure that no one is left waiting in silence. A gift today helps us deliver:

  • Nutritious meals prepared with care
  • Daily wellness checks from compassionate volunteers
  • Critical connection that combats loneliness and isolation
  • Peace of mind for families and caregivers

Together, we can bring light to the darkest, coldest days of the year.

Your Impact is Bigger Than a Meal

When you give to Meals on Wheels of Greeley and Weld County, you help reduce health care costs, ease the burden on families, and protect the independence of our aging neighbors.

  • Food insecurity among older adults is tied to $78 billion in healthcare costs annually.
  • Social isolation costs Medicare over $6.7 billion a year.
  • We have the solution, and YOU are a critical part of it.

Together, We Can Deliver

The need is growing — but so is the generosity of people like YOU.

Deliver hope. Deliver comfort. Deliver connection.
