I’m proud to serve as the Board Chair for Girls on the Run of the Rockies, an organization that is transforming the lives of girls across Colorado.

From now through September 17, I’ve pledged to personally match every gift—dollar for dollar—up to $500 for Youth Sports Giving Day. That means your support goes twice as far in helping more girls gain access to this life-changing program.

I joined the Girls on the Run Board because it makes what I love about Colorado—confidence, community, and connection—accessible to everyone, regardless of income. Girls on the Run is more than a running program. It empowers girls to realize their limitless potential through running, while building confidence, resilience, and a foundation to boldly pursue their dreams. Most importantly, it’s a safe and inclusive environment where girls of all backgrounds come together, grow, and thrive.

Please make your gift before September 17 to double your impact and ensure more girls can boldly pursue their dreams. 💜

Youth Sports Giving Day aims to level the playing field for all kids by increasing access. Accessibility is a cornerstone for Girls on the Run of the Rockies - physically, geographically, and financially. Donations made via Youth Sports Giving Day help our council expand in Front Range communities and support the financial needs of the families in our program.

The National Federation of State High School Associations reported in 2019 that boys get 1.13 million more sport opportunities than girls. Youth Sports Giving Day is a time to show up for youth sports and show up for Colorado girls. By donating through this campaign, you help to level the playing field for Colorado girls. Your donations increase access to meaningful after-school programming that uses sports to teach valuable life lessons.

The latest research report ‘Thriving Through Sport: The Transformative Impact on Girls’ Mental Health’ from Women's Sports Foundation found that…

🎾 Sport participation can lower depression and anxiety

🏑 In supportive sport settings that focus on effort, improvement and teamwork, depression symptoms are significantly lower (9.3%) vs settings where winning is the main goal and success is defined by ability compared to others (24.7%)

🏐 In sport settings where girls have more “voice and choice” over goals and activities, depression symptoms are significantly lower (10.4%) vs settings where they don’t have that opportunity (35.1%)
