Background Statement

Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County provides safe, affordable, high-quality after-school and summer programming for young people in Greeley, Eaton/Galeton, Johnstown/Milliken, and Fort Morgan. Our Clubs give kids and teens a place to belong, build positive relationships with caring adults, discover new interests, and develop the skills they need to succeed in school, work, and life.

Through programs focused on education, leadership and service, health and wellness, sports and recreation, the arts, and workforce readiness, Club members have opportunities to learn, grow, and have fun in a supportive environment. We also help remove barriers for families by keeping membership affordable and providing meals and snacks, transportation support, and access to enriching experiences that may otherwise be out of reach.

After-school hours are a critical part of the day for children and working families. When school lets out, young people need safe places, positive role models, meaningful activities, and opportunities to stay connected and engaged. During the summer, those needs become even greater as families face childcare challenges and youth can lose access to the structure, meals, learning opportunities, and social connections they receive during the school year.

At Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County, we help fill those gaps. Whether a child needs homework support, a healthy meal, a chance to play, a trusted adult to talk to, or simply a place where they know they belong, the Club is there—after school, throughout the summer, and during the years that matter most.
