$50,000 Goal

Veterans Plaza is both a physical location and a non-partisan, completely volunteer-run (501c3) non-profit organization dedicated to a single mission accented by three pillars: Honor, Support, and Educate.

Our mission is to honor and support military veterans while educating the Colorado community and future generations about the history and meaning of service in the United States Armed Forces.

More than 25,000 military veterans and 125,000 of their immediate family members call northern Colorado home. This is who we serve in our mission to honor, support, and educate.

Since 2011, the Veterans Plaza has honored their service and is dedicated to educating future generations regarding the role veterans have played in guaranteeing our freedom. The Veterans Plaza allows citizens to be a part of something larger than themselves. It provides a place of beauty where we can recognize the selfless service and sacrifices made by veterans, especially those living among us.

We offer several educational programs such as our annual Memorial Weekend event, which we display different walls including the Vietnam Wall, Global Wall on Terror, and the new 250th Anniversary Wall by the local Daughter of the American Revolution (DAR) and Sons of the Revolutionary War (SAR) chapters depicting many scenes on large panels from the Declaration of Independence, Revolutionary War, and the Constitution of the Untied States to be shown at the Plaza during their Memorial Weekend event in 2026. Our Memorial Sunday program includes a color guard and bagpiper, an introduction to the dignitaries, keynote speaker, 21 gun salute, field of flags, food services, and 30 vendors displaying their products or services!

Plus. we offer our annual summer picnic for our visitors and children to promote the military, veterans, and patriots! Many of our members dress up in their past military uniforms and tell why they joined the service and what the military means to the public in keeping our country free!

We offer several beneficial fundraiser programs to support our veterans in need such as our Vet-to-Vet Fund, which was created in 2022. We offer several fundraisers including our annual Heroes Golf tournament in September, our Heroes Celebration Gala dinner held during the summer or fall, our partner Gilded Goat Brewery's classic Car Contest in October, and our High Plains Underwater Poker Game in October! All these fundraisers support or Vet-to-Vet Fund!

Please visit our two beneficial fundraising causes: 1) Vet-to-Vet Fund Campaign   or 2) Heroes Golf Tournament Campaign.

Our Plaza does NOT provide any funds for our personnel for their volunteering efforts except for the operation of the Plaza and our events!

Veterans Plaza is located at the southern entrance to Spring Canyon Community Park, in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Come visit our beautiful and serene plaza at 2626 West Horsetooth Road in Fort Collins, CO, where veterans and visitors can relax and enjoy our two informational kiosks, attend our annual events, or just remember their past military service!
