Trailhead Community is more than a place to live. It's a place to belong.
Located in Littleton, Colorado, Trailhead brings together adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), seniors, and working professionals in an intentionally inclusive, multigenerational residential community.
What began as an ambitious vision is now a living, breathing community. Since opening in October 2024, Trailhead has brought people together through thoughtfully designed, accessible housing that encourages independence, connection, and a genuine sense of belonging.
Our 2026 Colorado Gives campaign celebrates everything we have built together while raising funds to complete outstanding property needs and strengthen our current community for the future.

We are dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for Colorado’s adult IDD and neurodiverse population. Our mission is to provide housing that empowers our residents to live with dignity, independence, and a strong sense of community.
Trailhead Community was born from a simple but powerful belief: every adult deserves the opportunity to live independently, build meaningful relationships, and belong to a community.
Amongst our founding families, that future didn't exist. As these parents began planning for the long-term future of their adult children with developmental disabilities, they found very few housing options that offered both independence and lasting community. Rather than accept the status quo, they came together with community leaders, supporters, and advocates to create something different.
The result is Trailhead Community—a neighborhood intentionally designed to foster independence, connection, and inclusion. Located in Littleton, Colorado, our 81-home community brings together adults with and without developmental disabilities in a place where neighbors know one another, friendships flourish, and everyone has the opportunity to live with dignity and purpose.
Trailhead is more than housing. It is proof that when communities are designed with inclusion in mind, everyone benefits. Today, families find peace of mind, residents build lives of their own, and neighbors experience what it means to be part of a truly inclusive community.
