⭐ Mission Statement

To empower veterans by providing a national broadcast platform that shares resources, tells their stories, and strengthens community through radio, TV, and digital media.

Background Statement

Military Broadcast Radio (MBR) began in 2005 as a small online station created by veterans who wanted a place where their voices could finally be heard. After Executive Director Joel “H-Train” Hunt returned home from Iraq with a traumatic brain injury, broadcasting became a form of therapy and a way to reconnect with the veteran community. In 2018, MBR officially became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting veterans through media, resources, and community outreach.

Today, MBR operates a full radio and TV network, trains veterans in broadcasting, and partners with organizations nationwide to ensure no veteran ever feels alone or unheard.
