Colorado T.E.N.T. (The Earned Network Transition) is built on a simple idea: successful reentry does not begin at the prison gate, and it cannot be created by handing someone a certificate, a bus ticket or a list of phone numbers. It begins by developing stability before release and carrying that stability into the community. We build relationships with people while they are still incarcerated, help them recognize which behaviors will transfer successfully outside prison, and remain connected as they establish the housing, employment, transportation, education and support networks needed to build lives that last.
Our values are dignity, honesty, accountability, earned trust and stability. We understand stability as a matter of calibration and sequencing: determining what a particular person actually needs, then putting the right supports in the right order. That means providing enough assistance to create a solid foundation without replacing personal responsibility or preventing independence from developing. Our goal is not simply to help people get out. It is to help them become stable enough to remain out, strengthen their families and communities, and create no new victims.
Mission
Colorado TENT builds trust you can measure in rural and underserved communities, where it matters most for the families people are returning to. We take what people do every day—their decisions, their follow-through—and turn it into a portable reliability signal that shows who’s actually putting in the work and who’s just going through the motions. That allows agencies to stop guessing and start putting resources where they actually make a difference. The goal is simple: opportunity gets earned, families get stronger, and reentry means consistent behavior and no new victims.

Colorado T.E.N.T. exists to help individuals build stable, productive lives before release, during reentry, and throughout their return to the community.
Our work is rooted in a simple belief: people are more than the worst decision they have ever made, and lasting change is best understood as a process rather than a single event. Through education, mentorship, practical skill development, and community support, we help participants strengthen the habits, relationships, and decision-making skills that support long-term success.
What makes Colorado T.E.N.T. unique is our ability to bridge multiple worlds. Our organization combines practitioner knowledge developed through decades of lived experience, educational expertise, research partnerships, and direct service. We work alongside incarcerated individuals, people on parole, community partners, educators, employers, and researchers to better understand what successful transition and long-term stability actually look like.
We do not measure success solely by program completion or short-term outcomes. We focus on trajectory. We seek to identify, develop, and reinforce the behaviors, choices, and patterns that indicate a person is moving toward greater stability, responsibility, independence, and contribution to their community.
Ultimately, Colorado T.E.N.T. exists to help people create lives that produce no new victims, strengthen families and communities, and demonstrate that meaningful change is possible when opportunity, accountability, education, and support are aligned.
