$90,000 Goal

This Colorado Gives Day, You Can Change a Life!

Help us reach our goal of raising $90,000 to support pets and people in Northern Colorado and beyond. At Animal Friends Alliance, our vision is simple yet powerful: we believe every companion animal deserves to experience a healthy, loving home. Since the merger of Animal House Rescue & Grooming and Fort Collins Cat Rescue & Spay/Neuter Clinic, we've been dedicated to providing compassionate care through our adoption, spay/neuter, and community support programs. But we can't do it alone—we need your help.

Meet Valerie and Berenstain: A Story of Resilience and Love

Check out this heartwarming video of Valerie and Berenstain, two animals whose lives were forever changed by the support of people like you. Berenstain, a sweet kitten who came to us in need of care, found his family thanks to the dedication of our team and the kindness of our community. Valerie, an abandoned husky who was given a second chance, is now thriving in a home filled with love. Their stories are just two of the many examples of how your generosity can change lives.

Every Donation Makes a Difference

Every donation, no matter the size, helps us continue to provide lifesaving care and services. Your support funds critical programs, including:

🐾 Adoptions – Finding loving homes for animals who need a second chance.

🐾 Subsidized Spay/Neuter, and Vaccine Services – Preventing unwanted litters and promoting healthier lives.

🐾 Kibble Supply Pantry – Keeping pets with their families by providing essential supplies during tough times.

🐾 PAL+ (Prevent a Litter Plus) – Offering affordable or free spay/neuter procedures and discounted vaccinations/microchipping for pets belonging to low-income families. This program helps prevent overpopulation and keeps pets healthy and in their homes.

🐾 Community Cat Program – Humanely addressing the feral cat population by providing Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) services and care for kittens and friendly adult cats, ensuring they are spayed/neutered and vaccinated.

🐾 Dog Behavior Program – Offering affordable behavior consultations to help dog owners address challenges like anxiety, fear, and reactivity, in order to keep pets safe and in their loving homes.

🐾 End of Life Services – Providing compassionate, affordable euthanasia services that allow pet owners to be present with their pets during their final moments, offering dignity and sensitivity during difficult times.

Your gift today can be the reason a pet finds a loving home, receives vital medical care, or simply has enough to eat.

Mission

To provide comprehensive companion animal resources, services, and education to the community to prevent homelessness and promote the human-animal bond.

Background Statement

Animal Friends Alliance emerged in January 2020 from the union of Fort Collins Cat Rescue & Spay/Neuter Clinic and Animal House Rescue & Grooming. The overall goal of the merger is to amplify our organization's community impact and allow our programs and services to benefit more people and animals.

Animal Friends Alliance is a "limited admission, adoption guarantee shelter" for cats and dogs. This means we have to limit how many animals we take in due to space and financial restrictions, but we guarantee that every animal we take in will stay with us until they find a good home. We are 100% committed to every cat and dog that comes to us, and we do our best to make sure each one goes to the right home with an adopter who is ready to make a lifelong commitment to them. If for any reason an adopter cannot keep the animal they adopted from us, we will always take them back.

By providing subsidized spay and neuter for both dogs and cats, our spay/neuter clinic offers a proactive solution to pet homelessness. The clinic also provides preventative health care including vaccinations, deworming, heartworm testing, feline viral testing, and microchipping. For pet owners who are in a low-income bracket or receive government assistance, we offer financial assistance for spay/neuter through the Prevent A Litter Plus (PAL+) Program, and free supplemental pet food through the Kibble Supply Pet Food Pantry.

Animal Friends Alliance is an IRS 501(C)(3) non-profit organization, tax ID# 20-4969731. We operate solely on monetary and in-kind donations, fundraising, and grants. We receive no government funding.
