Summary

During COVID Jovial Concepts has responded by providing over 293,693 meals since March 23rd to underserved families in Jeffco and West Denver. We have never acted as a food bank type service and have always focused around food systems education. We knew early on the effects of an increased number of Colorado families being out of work would have devastating results for the families we serve.

We have been fortunate to partner with The Co-op at 1st and rent an event space and commercial kitchen to provide meals to over 350 families per week in need. We know pre-covid 1 in 5 working families struggled to provide enough food for their family and with food shortages, increased food costs, and loss of income - our numbers of families in need are increasing daily.

Jovial will be handing out Thanksgiving and Christmas meals for the Holidays. We are offering a latinx menu, vegan, as well as the traditional American holiday meal. We are creating these meals from food produced by local Colorado farmers, ranchers, and producers. Staying true to our mission of local, healthy, regenerative food sources is important to us now more than ever, if we are going to prevent history from repeating itself.
