Let's get some "Skin in their Game" with this scholarship!

$59,425

raised by 32 people

Based on our 50th Reunion Scholarship commitment, we now have a Scholarship ENDOWMENT set up for Regis Class of 1966. This is really more than a scholarship… it is a fund endowed over a period of 4 years, foreshadowing our own tenure there. We have set a 4-year goal of $100,000… and we are already 20% there!

The RJHS Alumni Office is so impressed with our plan that they will use this fund as the goal for future 50th Reunion classes to try to surpass!

We have modified our original plan: it is now named for our ENTIRE class, but we have retained a Tatarka aspect: In his honor (and in honor of all of us who worked to pay for at least part of our education), student recipients of our endowment will be required to work on campus 20-60 hours per year… thus, they are putting THEIR SKIN IN THE GAME… contributing time and effort in exchange for financial assistance… WORKING their way toward a valuable education!

RJHS WORK GRANT PROGRAM
Changes have been made for the Work Grant program starting with the 2016-17 school year which will allow greater opportunity for students to meet their required obligations. All students will be required to complete 20, 40 or 60 hours of Work Grant based on the amount of financial aid awarded, as stated in their financial aid acceptance letter.

Work Grant opportunities include summer work (for sophomores, juniors and seniors only), before and after school, lunch break and also single project work.
Examples of Work Opportunities: Office, Kitchen and Cafeteria, Coffee Shop, Facilities and Grounds, Library, Spring and Summer Spruce-up, LARK Fundraiser, Special Events, Single Assignments, ...and more.

The Regis Jesuit Work Grant program is a significant obligation tied to the acceptance of all financial aid awards. It is imperative that both students and parents are fully committed to completing their Work Grant obligations.
The variety of Work Grant opportunities provide the ability for students to fulfill their commitment without interfering with their academics, sports, clubs or other school activities.

LET'S FOLLOW SUIT AND ADD OUR SKIN TO THEIR GAME WITH OUR DONATION(S) TO THE CLASS OF 1966 ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP!

Remember: ALL contributions qualify as 501C3 tax deductions!
(Perhaps a savvy cash-/tax-management strategy might call for four smaller ANNUAL donations, rather than a single larger one.)

Remember, too, you can DOUBLE your Skin with matching funds from your employer… even those of us who have retired… some corporations extend this matching benefit to retired employees… it's worth a call!

To donate, please click on the "DONATE NOW" button on the right hand side of the page.
