Summary

Thanks to a very generous donor who has offered to match all donations up to $20,000, you now have the opportunity to double your donation while helping bring some fantastic new bike-optimized trails to a unique area in Lory State Park.

Overland and Lory State Park are partnering on a fantastic new 1.1-mile bike optimized trail scheduled to open in the Fall of 2020. While targeted for intermediate level riders, it will still be a helluva lotta fun for all levels as it'll take advantage of numerous slickrock-type features and has the potential for multiple alt lines in the near future. Phase 1 will focus on the primary trail. Phase 2 will focus on an additional 1/2-mile loop branching off the main trail that will take riders up and over numerous slickrock slabs. Phases 3-4 are still in the early planning stages but look to add additional trail segments as well.

This new trail area will provide riders a new and unique trail experience for the Fort Collins & Northern CO area. The creative use of natural rock, unique terrain features and stunning views in all directions will make it a great addition to Lory's extensive trail system.

Overland needs the funding to make all of this happen. Planning, design/routing, tool replacement, purchase of new specialized tools and other event costs are all incurred by Overland. The cancellation of numerous 2020 events due to Covid has brought new and highly unexpected challenges to our fundraising efforts, and this unfortunately looks to continue longer than we all hope.
