Evidence of Program's Success

Nationally, studies show that the Imagination Library program has increased parents/caregivers
reading three times per week by 25% with the increase in age-appropriate books. Lower Valley Imagination Library is targeting a 28.9% increase in children's readiness for Kindergarten and an 11% increase in students' reading scale scores at 3rd grade.

Additionally, a recent peer-reviewed study on simple book giveaways released data that more expensive family programs that involved parent guidance and training had a smaller literacy benefit than book giveaways.
