Thank you for showing your support of BOSC and Boulder's open spaces! BOSC will leverage gifts of donation from people like you to protect, enhance, preserve, and steward Boulder's legacy of open space and mountain parks for current and future generations.
The Boulder Open Space Conservancy (BOSC) is a non-profit organization that protects, enhances, and preserves Boulder's natural legacy of open space and mountain parks for all our citizens and visitors, for current and future generations.
The Boulder Open Space Conservancy (BOSC) is a new 501c(3) that was established at the fiftieth anniversary of the Boulder open space program as a non-profit organization, and will operate through a public-private partnership with the City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks department to help the city steward those lands for the next fifty years and beyond.
This partnership is a unique collaboration of two equal and independent entities: City of Boulder OSMP and the community nonprofit BOSC. Each organization brings the shared goal of better fulfilling the charter for OSMP with mutual trust & respect, diverse skills, and strengths.
"We so appreciate this effort initiated by community members who cherish Boulder open space and their deep passion to help our community support and connect with their remarkable public land system," said Tracy Winfree, director of OSMP. "This partnership will help us leverage community support to create new opportunities for community members and our visitors to enjoy and protect their open space."
"Boulder Open Space Conservancy is founded in the belief that these beautiful lands are our shared legacy and our shared responsibility. We believe in the importance of connecting people to the land, and, through that connection, creating a community commitment that will work to preserve it for future generations," said Diane Murphy, BOSC chair. "Together with OSMP, residents and visitors, we will work to continue Boulder's proud legacy of open space conservation and ensure that Boulder's greatest asset - open space - will continue to thrive through community stewardship and investment."
