Costumes & Workshops for Swing, Stage, & Social

Swing, Stage, & Social Company is aiming to raise $175 to purchase costuming pieces for our upcoming performance in Hot Chocolate Collective on Saturday, December 9, 2023. We are performing 2 pieces and have 7 dancers; that's 14 costumes. Since our pieces often have a comic flair, our costumes are generally purchased piece-meal from local discount or resale stores. Being able to raise $175 towards costuming would cover outfits for an entire piece! 

A donation of $25 is enough to costume one dancer for one performance piece.

Beyond costuming, we want to learn more and improve our dancing! There are some amazing swing and social dancing workshops in the Denver area. 

This past September (2023), we were able to take 5 of our dancers to a full day of swing and social dancing classes with the Lindy On The Rocks annual Lindy Hop weekend workshop. Tickets for 1 full day of classes are usually around $150 per person. We would like to raise $50 per dancer ($350 for all 7 dancers) to supplement other fund raising efforts and help send our whole company to a local workshop or even Lindy On The Rocks 2024.

You may hear "We couldn't do it without you" often. It is a truth. Without donations, we would not be able to afford these amazing opportunities. Thanks to your donations, we are able to continue pursuing our dance passion as adults. We have jobs, classes, kids, families, and regular life, and to be able to train and perform with the Colorado Dance Collective is a gift that YOU create.
