Blythe's Better Lives Through Dance 2022

Please support Colorado Conservatory of Dance (CCD). An exceptional dance education organization, CCD brings the exuberance of creativity and movement to all ages, both at our Broomfield facility and throughout Denver’s north metro community. We believe in Better Lives Through Dance.

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, we are proud to work with our community education partnerships for programs such as our Move2Learn elementary school partnerships and free after-school dance classes for students who might not otherwise experience high-quality training. This season, alumni and professional dancer Michael Hinton has restaged his Crayon Box, part of our annual anti-bullying programs seen by over 30,000 children across the Denver Metro area.

Entering our 2022-2023 season, we are grateful that our home facility is once again bustling with dancers. CCD continues to work diligently to regain important pre-pandemic arts education levels of participation, positive community impact for all, and to provide the joy of live performance experiences. That’s CCD’s shared passion and our mission is to unleash individual potential and invigorate community through dance.

Why does CCD need your contributions?

CCD is a non-profit organization. As such, we write grants and fundraise to help pay for the work we do in the community. Ticket sales only pay for about 40% of the cost of our productions, and tuition does not fully cover the costs of doing business - much less the tuition assistance we commit to families who would otherwise not be able to afford dance education. We rely on our community to come together, to care about our work and the people who we affect, and to help us make our work possible. 

What can you do?

Give what you are able. Fundraising supports scholarships, after school learning, special needs dance programs, and our sensory-friendly performances making dance truly accessible to all. Your contributions sustain and grow our school and community programs, and allow us to enrich more lives through innovation in dance everyday.

Last year, CCD provided over $90,000 in scholarships to students. These scholarships include tuition assistance, performance opportunities and dance attire. With your donation, students who would otherwise not be able to dance are impacted by the arts and, in that, a future of higher education.

We also encourage you to share our Better Lives Through Dance fundraising campaign far and wide among your family, friends, co-workers and neighbors. It’s easy to share virtually by email, text and via social media.  

The importance of high-quality arts education is fundamental to who we are and why we teach dance. We nurture the love of dance in a healthy, caring and sustainable practice by listening, seeing and fulfilling the needs of all our dancers - both children and adults. 

CCD seeks to heighten education, deepen self-esteem, and further the art of dance in a fun and engaging way. We make a real and important impact for and with the community to enrich the future of arts education.
