Geothermal Greenhouse Partnership (GGP), on San Juan River Walk in Pagosa Springs, a volunteer- & donation-driven educational park, serving the community with environmental education, year-round vegetable production, water conservation & renewable energy. GGP manages 3 greenhouses & outdoor gardens.
"The Geothermal Greenhouse Partnership has changed the face of downtown Pagosa Springs with its visibility both physically through the development of the event site and growing domes and community engagement. The GGP Amphitheater on the River Walk has been busy all summer with community activities. GGP produce goes to local food pantries. The domes and gardens themselves attract visitors to the site displaying examples of food and energy sustainability and creative thinking. GGP inspires civic entrepreneurship, powered by its 21st century vision of sustainability."
Mary Jo Coulehan, Director of Pagosa Area Chamber of Commerce
"I've been a volunteer and donor to GGP for years. GGP is a dynamic grass-roots organization that proves that sustainability is possible in our community. I've grown vegetables, pulled weeds along the river and enjoyed the environmental film festival. I helped give educational bird walks. I'll be supporting GGP for years to come."
