Testimonials

"Just when you think the country is falling apart, becoming totally unhinged, you come across the National Civic League with its more than a century history of civic action. And the more you learn about the NCL the faster it smashes your cynicism about the country's future. Behind that bland name resides a robust capacity for changing how citizens act together, in what's become a rare common interest, to change their communities. Not by passing laws, but building real civic capacity. Anyone who's witnessed their annual All-America Cities competition has seen the evidence of what communities can do to come together, solve their problems, and set strategy for their future." Curtis Johnson, President, Citistates Group
