A nonprofit organization

ACE's mission is to provide enlightening and entertaining arts, cultural, and educational programs for the Jewish community and the community at large.

"The Whole Brain Living program I experienced was creative, thoughtful and engaging!  All the sessions like these support making new connections and friends. But I appreciated this course in particular for out-of-the-box thinking about one’s whole self but without facets that could be judged or criticized. I loved it for this learning opportunity without borders!"

"I'd give this class a 15 if I could. One of the best classes I've ever taken! Rita (the ceramics instructor) is so lovely, a gifted teacher, an instant creator of community, and an excellent facilitator of art for those who need extra coaching. Please have more of her classes!!

"Wow! I'm on the bus to Denver to meet friends for some "culture" and thought I'd glance at the ACE site. I want to do it all! You've created an astonishingly alluring lineup of events to enrich all of us in Boulder. Thank you! Sheila Malcolm

"What a tremendous 10 days-fabulous selections! Great trailer! Good feelings all around. A good mix of intellectual and emotional contents. I'm going to miss seeing so many friends and the large sense of community. From and audience perspective, it was smooth sailing! A truly remarkable festival-we're so lucky to have you!" Nicky Wolman, Boulder Jewish Film Festival Attendee

"What you tap into and offer us, is usually wide-ranging and inspired. The price is affordable, and no one ever seems to be turned away for lack of funds." Jude Blitz

"We continue to be impressed and excited with the cultural Jewish programming offered at the Boulder JCC. The width and breadth of the programming developed over the last 10 years have surpassed anything we have been exposed to in larger cities. We have learned so much about Jewish heritage through the wonderful lectures and movies presented by ACE." Steve and Sandy Friedman

"We moved to Colorado in 2004. Ever since ACE programs have been one of the principal means of staying tied to our Jewish heritage and culture. We happily drive the 20+ miles from our home in the mountains to attend as many of the events as we can. Not only are they fun, but most are intellectually stimulating. Our attendance has allowed us to meet some very nice people and to stay tied in to Boulder's Jewish community." Martin and Marlyn Cheshes

Survey responses to the quality of ACE programs in general and the Boulder Jewish Film Festival in specific continue to rank us at more than 9 out of 10.

Background Statement

Since its founding as an adult Jewish educational organization in 1980, ACE has built an outstanding reputation for excellence in cultural arts programming. Our programs foster social and intellectual engagement, and enhance an appreciation for the restorative power of the arts.

We remain committed to enriching community life by presenting the very best programs in arts, culture, and education, always designed to fulfill the JCC’s community-building mission. Those program areas include:

Adult Art Classes: Our classes allow adults to explore their creative side with professional, artist-led art classes in an intimate learning environment. We are currently offering clay, weaving and painting classes.

Mindfulness Education: Our programs will help you clear your mind, develop a new practice, connect with others, and learn. We offer a variety of programs, led by skilled instructors, open to those with established practices, new to mindfulness, or just curious. From virtual and in-person meditation to chanting, to wise aging and mindful dating, there is a program for every interest.

Boulder Jewish Film Festival: This annual festival is held at the Dairy Arts Center for 10 days of cinema and conversation. The Festival allows patrons to learn with and from each other, to enhance our appreciation of cinema together, and to enjoy each other’s thoughts and company.

Concerts and Theater: ACE brings a diverse selection of musicians and small theater performances together to educate and entertain the community.

Book Talks and Educational Programs: We present authors and lectures of the highest caliber for educational programs with opportunities for people to connect and share.

EXCHANGE: A Hub for Learning: A new adult learning program that provides educational opportunities for adults with no expectations of homework, tests, and grades - learning for the sake of learning.

Boulder Jewish Festival: Held annually for over 25 years, this festival is held on the Pearl Street Mall. The goal of the festival is to bring Jewish arts, culture, and food to the whole community. This June event regularly draws up to 10,000 visitors.
