DUG is the soil in which a thriving Metro Denver grows. But even the healthiest gardens need tending.

But here’s the challenge: When systems work, we stop seeing them.

Community gardens feel like they've always been there. A quiet constant. But DUG makes those gardens possible—and keeps them thriving. DUG does the quiet, steady work behind the scenes—maintaining the land, supporting garden leaders, resolving conflict, distributing seeds, sharing skills, and creating conditions where people can take root, reconnect, and thrive. Without this backbone, the ripple effects stop.

That’s why we’re asking you to sustain the soil.

Because this isn’t just about planting—it’s about permanence.

Your gift today will:

  • Keep our 200+ gardens and 24 food forests thriving.
  • Ensure culturally inclusive seeds are available.
  • Support therapeutic gardens our community finds healing.
  • Fuel the people who carry this work forward

This is more than gardening. This is a movement.

A movement rooted in resilience, powered by people, and blooming with possibility.

Let’s grow what matters—together!

Mission

To provide access, skills, and resources for people to grow healthy food in community and regenerate urban green spaces
