In Colorado, approximately 826,000 young people are not meeting critical milestones needed for upward mobility. In our region alone—including Adams County, Arvada, Aurora, and Broomfield—123,000 young people are not on a path to success. This is why Cradle to Career Colorado / Rocky Mountain Partnership has set an ambitious yet achievable goal: supporting 71,000 young people in this region to meet key Cradle to Career milestones that are synonymous with upward mobility by 2030. We’re working to impact 3,398 young people in the 2024-2025 school year alone. And this is just the beginning!
At the core of our work is the understanding that no single entity can solve these challenges alone. The factors influencing a child’s success—like grade-level reading and math proficiency—are intertwined with things like housing stability, workforce opportunities, healthcare access, and family support. For example, children who switch schools frequently are less likely to read on grade level due to learning disruptions. This means improving outcomes requires collaboration between educators, community organizations, and local leaders.
Your support on Giving Tuesday empowers Cradle to Career Colorado / Rocky Mountain Partnership to bring these sectors together, aligning resources to break down barriers and create pathways for success. Every milestone a child achieves—whether entering kindergarten prepared, mastering third-grade reading, or graduating high school—represents progress toward a brighter future for our entire community.
Together, we can make a lasting impact that ripples across generations.
