Supporting Las Animas Helping Hands through Next's Word of Thanks microgiving campaign
by Las Animas Helping Hands
Fundraiser launched on April 20, 2022 by Kyle
Las Animas Helping Hands provides for the emergency needs of individuals and families living in Bent County, Colorado and the surrounding area. We estimate that we serve roughly 1 in 5 residents of Bent County.

The goals of Helping Hands are to prevent the disconnection of utility services; provide emergency food and prescriptions while networking with other agencies; and provide free budgeting classes to help applicants become self sufficient.

The number of families coming to Helping Hands for emergency assistance has been increasing an additional 40-50% per year as families continue to experience the drought, loss of employers and jobs, and rising energy and healthcare costs in southeastern Colorado. Since Las Animas Helping Hands began in 2004, we have assisted the elderly, handicapped, single parents, families on TANF, parolees and other families in need.

All of the funding received goes to help those in need because we are a totally volunteer organization.

Our goal is to use your generous contributions to this Word of Thanks microgiving campaign over a period of two to three years to meet emergency needs in southeastern Colorado.

Your help makes a real difference
Let's help Las Animas Helping Hands meet the emergency needs of our neighbors in southeastern Colorado. Even $5 helps, so I'll match the first fifty donations of $5. -Kyle Clark
